Dr. Mothersead is a Licensed Psychologist with an office in Springfield, Missouri. With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in forensic consultation and assessment of adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Mothersead understands the importance courts place on factually accurate information, and he approaches his practice from an evidence-based perspective. He conducts his assessments methodically, bases his opinions on data relevant to each client’s situation, and communicates his findings in a clear and effective manner.

ABOUT

Dr. Mothersead completed a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Missouri and has worked in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. Early in his career, he completed a one-year pre-doctoral internship at the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield Missouri. While there he conducted court-ordered evaluations of competence to stand trial and criminal responsibility/sanity assessments. His career includes having been employed as a Rehabilitation Psychologist and later as a Neuropsychologist with Mercy Hospital and Clinics for 30-years. Dr. Mothersead has had an independent private practice for a number of years.

Dr. Mothersead is licensed as a psychologist in Missouri and credentialed with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He belongs to the following professional organizations:
